Welcome to 13 with 13. Have
a question for Wednesday 13?
You can post your questions under The
Monthly Monsterous Q&A from the message
board.
May 2004
1.
Have you ever had a fan threaten you before?
Not actually threaten me but once in
Italy after a festival we were doing a meet and greet and I guy
asked if he could hold my pen. I handed it to him because I
thought he was just going to use it for a second and then
hand it back. Once I handed it to him he backed up from me and
grabbed his crotch, flipped me off and called me something in
Italian. I told him to fuck off and he ran off in the crowd of
people. He came back later and tried to steal Joey's Jack Daniel's
so I smacked him in the head and took it back from him.
2. How's
the new solo album coming along?
I haven't
started recording it yet but so far I've got about 22 songs lined
up to record. Not all of them will be on the album but some of the
tracks will be included on some upcoming 7" vinyl's and used
for other various releases.
3.
Of all the guitars you've used throughout your career which was/is
your favorite and why?
I really
liked my natural wood finished hollow body Gibson/Epihone that I
use to play with FDQ. I don't have it anymore and I wish I
would have kept it. Now, my favorite guitar is my black ESP
X-Tone that I used on the Graveyard A Go Go tour.
4. I
don't mean for this question to come out sounding rude or
disrespectful, but I was just wondering why you covered Tripp's
face up with Acey's face in so many pictures?
That was
something that management and the label wanted to do. Basically
this is the deal, we did our video, photo shoot, and album layout
all with one big chunk of money. When we parted ways with Trip we
needed photos that represented the new line up with Acey. The idea
came up where they would replace Tripp's face with Acey's, they
did the same thing with Coal Chambers bassist on their last
album and it looked great. They did it with our stuff and it
wasn't quite as successful. It looks a little goofy I know,
but it's out there now and there is nothing we can do about it.
5.
When do you tour in the UK again?
Looks like
it's going to be in November.
6.
What's been the best KFC you have been to?
The ones in
Australia are the best.
7.
What is it like being in a band and also what tips can you give us
Ghoul Scouts on forming a band?
Trying
to find the right people that believe and want the same things
that you want. Don't give up when things seem impossible. I went
thru so much bullshit with FDQ and I think I came out
all right in the end.
8.
What is your favorite thing to drink and would you ever have
a Ghoul Scout house party?
My alcoholic
drinks of choice are Rum and coke, and Jagermeister with
whatever I can find to mix with it. No ghoulscout house
parties are going to be happening at my home base, I'll just
bring the party to you guys.
9.
Who was the last band you saw live?
The Darkness and The Wildhearts.
10.
What bands would you like to tour with in the future?
Alice Cooper,
The Damned, and Rob Zombie to name a few.
11.
What will the bonus tracks be when you re-release the late late
late show, will it have different artwork?
It will have
different artwork and the bonus tracks may be from some of the
earlier 7" material that was released.
12.
Are there any times when it kinda like hits you how successful you
have become? Did you ever believe that you would make it this far?
Have there times where u thought 'fuck this' I don't wanna do this
anymore?
I'm very
grateful to be where I am and there have been many times
where I've said fuck it and I don't want to do it anymore. I
always believed I would make it to the level that I am at I just
didn't know when I would get there. It's really a love/hate
relationship with the music business, it's not the fan side that
you ever hate it's all the politics and bullshit behind the
scenes.
13. Is it true that I video was filmed for Die My Bride?
No, we never filmed a video for
that song. We discussed it but it never happened.
