Welcome to 13 with 13. Have
a question for Wednesday 13?
You can post your questions under The
Monthly Monsterous Q&A from the message
board.
March 2004
1. What are your favorite Old Horror Movies?
The Wolfman, Dracula, Frankenstein, White Zombie, Plan 9 From Outer Space. 2. Hey Wednesday, where do you get your stage gear from? I get my Murderdolls pants from Lip Service, Tripp, and Serious, but I always modify them so they don't look as if they just came off a rack in a store. The shirts I usually get at thrift stores and cut and sow patches to them. My solo tour gear I pretty much cut and stitched it all together from old clothes. 3. What do you prefer, Arena/festivals or small venues? Festivals are cool, but can be a pain in the ass. I prefer a more intimate club gig personally. 4. After reading about a lot of the shit you went through at school it struck me that this kind of thing mostly happens in America, why do you think this is? I don't know really. I think it happens here, because America is a little less disciplined than most places. I'm sure it will get worse as time goes on. 5. Elvira or Vampira?Well, considering that Elvira's image and idea was borrowed form Vampira it's not really fair to judge. I like both, but Vampira was a part of the Ed Wood crew so I choose Vampira. 6. What inspired you/your wife to create the Thirteen Dead Kids?? I was just fucking around one day sketching and writing; I wrote a poem called The Thirteen Dead Kids. I thought it would be a cool idea and we just started working form there. 7. If you could've been a character in any horror/sci-fi film who would you liked to have been? Probably the
Hitchhiker from Texas Chainsaw Massacre Part 1.
Dreads can be a pain in the ass sometimes, but so can straight hair. I have no plans to cut them off, but if I did I surely would not get a mullet. 9. I've been hearing rumors of the Murderdolls splitting up for a while now and when I bought "6 feet 6 years" on the sticker it said featuring former member of the Murderdolls W13. Could you please clear this up and if you are leaving the dolls will you be re-forming FDQ ? The sticker on the
front of the "6 yrs, 6 ft" CD was a fuck up on the labels' side. It
is a German based label and somehow the translation came across
wrong. I was shocked when I saw it too. The rumors you heard are
just rumors. I'm not planning to reform FDQ. I was very happy
with the way the solo tour turned out and would love to keep
touring that way, playing songs from the FDQ era.
10. What has been the best show of your UK solo tour so far? They
were all really cool, but Manchester, Birmingham, and Glasgow
stand out the most. 11. When do you think the Murderdolls will be doing a full tour of the US? Not until 2005. 12. I was wondering, do you get called Wednesday or Joseph where you live or by people you know. Back home I'm just called by real name. 13. Do you find fans with tattoos related to you scary? You seemed unsure what to think of my signature in Manchester. No, I don't find it scary at all, actually I'm
really flattered when I see them. I forget sometimes
how much I've affected peoples lives and it catches me off
guard. I'm honored that you would have my name tattooed on you. |
